Hi, I’m Joy — originally from Glasgow, Scotland, now living in the U.S. I first discovered sea glass and pebble art during a trip to Stonington, Connecticut, while visiting a friend. I thought to myself, “That looks like a fun hobby!”
What began as a creative outlet during the Covid lockdown has since grown into a full-time passion.
As you can imagine, I was thrilled to learn that some of the best sea glass in the world comes from the waters around Scotland. I bring back bags of it from every trip home! My husband and I are avid travelers — 70+ countries and counting — and we’re always on the lookout for beaches with unique glass and pebbles.
We've spent much of the 2020s living near Boulder, Colorado, where my husband grew up. It’s where we gather most of our branches and driftwood, often just on walks and hikes with our pup, Barkley, and our daughter.
I love crafting one-of-a-kind pieces using sea glass, pebbles, driftwood, and anything else I can up-cycle from nature.
Each piece tells a little story, often with elements from the places that inspire me — like sea glass from the shores of Loch Lomond, pebbles from the Greek Isles, and driftwood from the rivers of the Rocky Mountains.
I’m always happy to talk “pebbles” (our nickname for the art form), as well as art, small business life, or custom creations. Feel free to reach out anytime!
